Five things worth knowing before you take an offer
Short, and short on purpose. A reading list that runs to forty entries has stopped being a reading list. These five are the ones a reader deciding between the offers in the table actually needs.
- 01 What a welcome bonus is actually worth The turnover requirement is a price, and it is paid out of the bonus. Here is the sum, with every priceable offer in the market run through it.
- 02 Who published that figure, and why it usually was not the bookmaker Most welcome offer figures in Ghana appear on no operator page at all. How to tell, and what it changes.
- 03 Getting a bonus win out of a mobile money wallet The ceiling that stops a large payout is the central bank’s, not the bookmaker’s, and the monthly one is the one that binds.
- 04 Tax on a Ghanaian win, in both directions There is none today. There was one until 2 April 2025, it was charged on the gross, and both halves of that have to be said together.
- 05 Checking a bookmaker against the Gaming Commission register What the register publishes, what it does not, and why a licence number quoted on an affiliate page proves nothing.
One assumption runs through all of them and it is worth stating here as well as on the table: turnover is priced at 5.73%, the median margin across the Ghanaian books whose price the fact base could compute from published odds. Move that number and every cedi figure on this site moves with it.
